The Biotechnology Center Organised it 2021 cultural day along site the yought day on the 11th of February, 2021
The cultural day was so colourful with dishes from all the 10 regions of Cameroon and also dishes from our neighbouring countries
It started with Opening speach from the Head of the Laboratory of public Health Biotechnology HRH Professor Wilfred Fon Mbacham
The even was animated by musics from all the ten regions
Report: Summary of the traditional day.
The event took place on the 11th of February 2021. This was the second event in the BTC, supervised by HRH Prof Mbacham to foster living together. It started at about 2pm with an opening speech from Professor Mbacham Wilfred the head of LAPHER- FODRUS LAB.
He congratulated the spirit of sharing within the students, in the sense that they could prepare something for two.
More to that, he launched the event by asking everyone to present their dish, how it is prepared…This was done with alot of joy, laughter and enjoyment as everyone took the microphone to present his or her special traditional traditional meal. Four countries were represented, Cameroon, Tchad, Central Africa and Ghana.
The event continued with a speech from the head of the center, Professor Mbanya. After that, we moved to the presentation of official traditional attires which was equally a great moment. After that, there was the cutting of the traditional cake by the head of the center, Prof Mbanya. This was then followed by lunch and pictures. The day was concluded with traditional dancing at about 5 pm
