Founded in 1998 by Professor Mbacham Wilfred, as an integral part of the Biotechnology centre (BTC) of the University of Yaoundé I and as a continuation of the Molecular Parasitology group started by Prof. VPK Titanji.
The Laboratory for Public Health Research Biotechnologies (LAPHER Biotech) has quickly established itself as a reference centre in studies to understand the biology of Tropical diseases and in the application of these results for development and disease control
The Laboratory for Public Health Research Bio-technologies in her desire to train a new breed of scientists holds 3 core values;
